We believe that the development of moral capacities in our children is of fundamental importance not only to their own happiness but also to the advancement of humanity as a whole.
Providing spiritual education for children has long been an element of the culture of the Baha’i community. We hold weekly children’s classes in Ballarat that are open to all children, subject to parental approval.
Baha’i children’s classes aim to nurture the hearts and minds of children. The emphasis is on helping children learn to reflect on and apply spiritual principles, such as love, unity and justice, to their own lives and to the lives of those around them.
Based on the teachings of Baha’u’llah, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith, the classes seek to inspire in children a love of God and His Messengers, and of humanity in all its diversity.
The classes include short lessons, activities to build friendship, games, stories, art and music.
